How do I place an order?
Browse home cooks on the homepage, select a cook you like, add dishes to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You can pay securely via Razorpay (cards, UPI, net banking).
Can I pre-order dishes?
Yes! Many home cooks offer pre-order slots. Look for the "Preorder Only" badge on dishes. Choose a delivery slot during checkout.
How do I track my order?
After placing an order, visit your Customer Dashboard → My Orders to see the real-time status of your order.
Can I cancel an order?
You can request cancellation from your Orders page before the cook starts preparing. Once preparation begins, cancellations depend on the cook's policy.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major payment methods via Razorpay: Credit/Debit cards, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), Net Banking, and Wallets.
How do refunds work?
Refund requests can be raised within 24 hours of delivery. Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days back to your original payment method.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. All payments are handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Homefoodio never stores your card details.
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up" in the navbar, enter your name, email, and password. Verify your email and you're ready to order!
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page, enter your registered email, and we'll send you a reset link.
How do I register as a Home Cook?
Click "Vendor Portal" in the footer or navigate to /vendor/login, then register. Your profile will be reviewed and approved by our admin team within 24–48 hours.
How do I set up my menu?
Once approved, log in to your Vendor Dashboard and go to Menu Items. Add your dishes with photos, descriptions, and prices.
How are payments made to vendors?
Earnings are tracked in your Vendor Wallet. You can request withdrawals which are processed within 2–3 business days.
